Recital 2024
The countdown has begun… Thank you to all of our LIMELITE families - each year gets better than the last. We know this is going to be one of our best recitals yet.

Dress Rehearsal
Monday, May 13th 4:00PM - 8:00PM at East Haven High School
Dancers in Act 1 arrive at 4:00pm. Dancers in Act 2 arrive at 5:45pm. Full costume, makeup and hair, proper dance shoes and tights. No jewelry. Show order will be announced in class in the early Spring. All baby, toddler classes are at the very beginning of our show.
Once you finish with your routine(s) you are free to go. We do not practice the Finale at Dress Rehearsal. Dress Rehearsal is the only opportunity for dancers to see the show. Please support your fellow dancers and enjoy watching the dances the worked on all year! The Dance Team will be the first on stage to open the show.
Only one parent or guardian is allowed to attend Dress Rehearsal. Parents are responsible for their child during Dress Rehearsal, no child should be dropped off.
Recital Performances
at East Haven High School
Saturday, May 18th, 4:00pm
Dancers are to arrive by 3:00pm in full hair and stage makeup already done, dressed in first costume to perform on stage. Dancers report right to the dressing rooms. Students are not allowed to be in the auditorium during or before the recital.
* All students will line up on stage at the end of the recital for the Finale. During the Finale, all dancers will receive dance medals, we will hand out our 5 & 10 year trophies to receiving dancers, as well as staff acknowledgements. If you have a young child and have to leave early, please let your instructor know!
* It is customary to give your child flowers to walk on with at the Finale. They can hold them backstage until the finale.
* Dressing/Holding Rooms: Dancers can set up a sheet or pop up tent for changes. We suggest if you're in multiple routines, wear a nude leotard with clear straps. This way they will always be dressed and they will be protected and feel more comfortable. You can send your child with water, a snack and some activities.
Toddlers will perform within the first 5 routines of the show. Parents will be given a lap pass per performing toddler, but we will not have extra seats available. Parents can come backstage to pick up your dancer after they complete their routine and you can bring them back halfway through Act 2 to come on for the Finale.
Recital Costumes
Are already coming in and they are just gorgeous!!!! All tuition and costume balances must be paid in full for the year before picking them up.
You can pick them up during class time or on the day of ticket sales. You can check with your teacher after class time to see if they are available.
All costumes are $90 and include tights ( if needed) and all accessories.
* Check with your teacher about proper footwear, as well as hairstyle. Note most Hip Hop classes require low black converse, they are much less expensive than hip hop sneakers that you can only wear to dance. Lyrical and Contemporary Tan Turning Shoes, Black Tap Shoes, Pink Ballet slippers and younger Jazzy Hip Hop black jazz shoes.
*Make up is important for the stage. All dancers must wear eye shadow, blush and red or bright pink lipstick. Older students can certainly go all out with full stage makeup. Glitter is always encouraged !!! :)
* No pictures or video is allowed on recital days.
* A professional videographer will be provided and you can order the recital video.
* The Marketplace will provide concessions in the lobby during the Dress Rehearsal and the Recital.
Recital Tickets
*Our studio has grown immensely since last year and seats will sell fast.
All tuition and costume balances must be paid in full before purchasing tickets.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be replaced if lost.
Ticket Sales: Sunday, March 17th 10AM - 1PM at Guilford Studio
Tickets: $30 each; $35 at the door (if available)
After this day, remaining tickets will be available at the Guilford studio. You may text me to reserve them, as well: 203-314-0044

Dance Portraits
Dance Picture Week: May 6th during regular class time.
Our Studio Photographer is Catherine, of Kiernan Photography. Catherine is amazing and she has been turning out the most beautiful dance portraits for us for 19 years.
Dance pictures will be at the Guilford studio the last week of classes before recital. Students will wear costumes to the studio; makeup and hair is up to you. We do individual and class pictures, you can decide if you would like to purchase photos that day.
We will only do pictures then you are free to go. Individual photos first then a fun, full class picture.

Madison Tuesday Acro team: Report to the Guilford Studio at 6:00PM
Madison Wednesday & Saturday Classes: Report to Guilford studio during your regular class time.
Madison Friday Morning class: Report to Guilford studio at 4:30PM
5 and 10 Year Trophies
If this is your 5th or 10th year of being a LIMELITE dancer, we want to celebrate you! You can sign up in the waiting room at the Guilford Studio for your trophy by April 1st or text me with the year and name as you would like it on the trophy :)
